Reports Produced By Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher, Connected To Agile PLM, Have No Content (Doc ID 1622216.1)

Reports produced by BI Publisher connected to Agile PLM have no content.
Can see below error in stderr.log:

oracle.xml.parser.v2.XPathException: Namespace prefix 'ref' used but not declared.
at oracle.xml.parser.v2.XSLBuilder.startElement(
at oracle.xml.parser.v2.NonValidatingParser.parseElement(
at oracle.xml.parser.v2.NonValidatingParser.parseRootElement(
at oracle.xml.parser.v2.NonValidatingParser.parseDocument(


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create Rich Text Format (RTF) template using BI Publisher
  2. Log into Java Client as an Admin
  3. Go to Admin | Server Settings | Preferences and set Enable BI Publisher for Reports to Yes.
  4. Goto Admin | User Settings | Privileges | Administrator, and open Administrator privilege. Make sure "Manage Report Templates" is included in Applied To fields
  5. Log into Web Client
  6. Click Tools and Settings -> Administration -> Report Templates
  7. Select Report Name: Manufacturer BOM Report
  8. Create
  9. Select the problem RTF template for File, and Name it as "Test-Report" and OK
  10. Close
  11. Goto Reports->Standard Reports->Product Reports->Manufacturing BOM Reports
  12. Click Execute
  13. Select "Test-Report" as Layout
  14. Select Output Format: Excel
  15. Select the item object with BOM
  16. Click Finish button, and check the outputted Excel file.
  17. See the file is 0 kb. If you open the file, it shows blank
