Last updated on MARCH 29, 2024

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Open Services Development (OSD) interface is not populating Fault element in Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) response. This happens when OSD interface sends fault information against a received request. As per section 5.4 in SOAP standards document OSD interface should send fault information in separate Fault element instead of Body element.

Actual SOAP Response with Fault information inside the Body element, but not surrounded with <SOAP-ENV:Fault>:

Due to this issue third parties are not able to parse SOAP response sent by OSD interface.
