Symptoms

In Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting (RDF) 13.3.x:

After updating the configuration with new source levels, the patchInstall process fails in the RDFValidate step.  The patchInstall log has the following errors:
  ## is not a valid curve final level
  RDFValidate exited with status: 1

A different scenario also occurs in which the RDFValidate completes successfully, but the patchInstall log shows the following batch registration error when patching new RDF Source level and Curve Source and Final level:
  Error during batch registration:
Failed to copy 'adjmask50' to <domain>, error IllegalPositionName: Array 'dim_clvl' does not contain the '' position in the 'clvl' dimension.

In the application, the Curve/Profile Administration wizard does not display the new Curve levels.  Building a Measure Analysis workbook results in the following error:
IllegalPositionName: Array ‘dim_clvl’ does not contain the “ position in the ‘clvl’ dimension.
