Excel Error Message When Opening a File Generated by PLM for Process With Export Functionality (Doc ID 1624605.1)

Symptoms

When a user saves his search results in an Excel file (via the function "Export") and tries to open that exported file with Excel 2007 or Excel 2010 (other Excel version were not tested) he gets the following error message in Microsoft Excel:
"The file you are trying to open, '.xls', is in an different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?"

Expected Behavior:

The warning message should not display.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
==========================================
1. In PLM for Process open GSM | Material Specification.
2. Execute a search that find some records.
3. Save the search results by clicking the link "Export" In the search results list and click on the "Save" button when the question comes up "Do you want to open or save .xls from ?".
4. Try to open the saved file from the file location with Microsoft Excel.
=> Error message comes up.
On confirming the question with "Yes" the file opens correctly.
