Symptoms

After adding some new elements in data dictionary and deploying the cartridge, Customer is observing  OrderDataInvalidException for some existing elements (not the new elements which have been added) in one of its automation task which updates the OrderData with certain values –

Caused By: com.mslv.oms.handler.OrderDataInvalidException: Cannot find order element with mnemonic Status
    at com.mslv.oms.handler.order.l.a(Unknown Source)
    at com.mslv.oms.handler.order.l.a(Unknown Source)
    at com.mslv.oms.handler.order.l.a(Unknown Source)
    at com.mslv.oms.handler.order.l.a(Unknown Source)
    at com.mslv.oms.handler.order.l.a(Unknown Source)
    at com.mslv.oms.handler.updateorder.UpdateOrderHandlerEJB.a(Unknown Source)

The above mentioned mnemonic is present in that particular automationTask view and also in CreationTask view. Purged all orders, undeployed cartridge and deployed still  getting the same issue, but this time for some other data element (that was also already existing)
Steps :

1. Kept only one Role in the cartridge and associated wit with CreationTask in permission tab
2. With the Role initially oms-automation user was associated, which is there for all automations tasks. Then tried creating a new automation user and associated with the Role, still getting same issue
I am attaching the the Log File
PS: we noticed that the variables for which its giving the exception - cannot find order element is supposed to be updated in a structure which is of XMLType. In the OrderDataUpdate xml we are trying to update a data element which is XMLType from another XMLType data in following manner -
<Add path="/"><XML1>{$taskDataRoot/*:XML2}</XML1></Add> where XML1 and XML2 are both XMLType data.

Can you please let us know is there any other way to update XMLData
