When articles have past their useful lifecycle and they need to be archived the best way to do this is to expire the content. Expired content is not crawled and is not see in infocenter or iconnect. It can still be found in the IM console find function. Articles can be expired one by one, a date can be set for expiry when the article is created or at any point there after. Any group of articles that can be located in the IM find can have a expiration date set in the bulk update actions.
