Searching for unstructured content (e.g. PDF documents) in Oracle ATG Self Service does not work properly when the content is restricted to specific external users. Searches only appear to return structured content (solutions) and unstructured content is not searched. Agents in Oracle ATG Knowledge are able to properly search for the unstructured content without any problems.
Unstructured content was indexed into the Oracle ATG Search engine(s) servicing requests from Knowledge and Self Service. In addition, security was enabled such that only external users in a certain organization (segment) should be able to view unstructured content in Self Service.
