Goal
A new ASAP Production instance (ASAP 7.0.0 Patch11, HP-UX Itanium) on a RAC system has been setup. The Database server used was Oracle 11.1.0.7.
All the other components of the BSS/OSS stack are using 11gR2 DB and we want to verify the possibility of upgrading the Grid level DB version to 11gR2 and retain the ASAP 11gR1 DB on RAC.
Please advise us if such a setup will work for ASAP 7.0.0 without any issues. Also please confirm whether there are any implications if we do upgrade the Grid level DB version to 11gR2 and retain the ASAP DB on 11gR1.
