Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Demantra Demand Management - Version 7.3.1.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Customer is upgrading from 7203 to 7301 to 7314
The upgrade from 7203 to 7301 went fine
However when the customer upgrades from 7301 to 7314, the BAL validation failed towards the end of 7314. The BAL Validation mentioned that it will open the modeler. Thereafter it opened the modeler and asked to Activate. User clicked on Activate and it "activated" but failed in the message. In the screen of the Validate Bal Import ---The Object Status column shows as 'Active' but the Transaction status shows as 'Failed' for all the objects
They then get a windows that says
"Activation completed with Warning. Business modeler encountered warnings while trying to activate some objects."

The bal_bm.log found under ..\..\Demand Planner\Desktop shows the following error message

Activating transfer interface 'SIEBELINTEGRATION'...

Creating import tables for transfer level 'IMPORT:SIEBEL_PROMOTION'...

Error: Can not create the level's Import Tables. Missing Attribute definitions
