How To Enable Search And Other Associated Features Within InfoManager And InfoCenter

The enabling and the way that the search works is defined in the IM console search configuration.


The search configuration properties control the following:

- Whether Search is enabled.
- Whether highlighting is enabled.
- Whether similar documents are returned or excluded.
- Whether the IM console shows both IM content and non IM content.

By default the product does not have search enabled. Also highlighting and returning similar content is disabled.  The Management Console Search results are limited to Information Manager content only; documents from external collections are excluded from the results. You can display documents from all collections in the Management Console Search results by de-selecting the Restrict Search to IM Content option.
