'[10885] Error Connecting Source Database' Running Batch for T2T Database Extract (Doc ID 1632891.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) infrastructure, when you run a T2T Database Extract from Batch Execution, the Database Extract fails and the following messages are listed under the "Event Log" when you select the Task in the Batch Monitor screen:

[10862] Fetched information regarding the given Information Domain
[10885] Error connecting to source Database
[10865] Loading Failed.

When you check the log file generated for the batch in $FIC_DB_HOME/log/t2t, the following error exists:

Log Message here 1: Sun Feb 09 13:13:44 2014||DEBUG||ClsUDBConnect::getConnectedDB, INFO, User ID = ATOMIC, DBName = ATOMICDB
FAILED: log_on()
Log Message here 1: Sun Feb 09 13:13:44 2014||SEVERE||ClsUDBConnect::getConnectedDB, Error, could not connect to the database. ERROR Message : ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

Log Message here 1: Sun Feb 09 13:13:44 2014||SEVERE||ClsUTableToTableLoad::directLoad, unable to connect to source database


As a result of the errors, the database extract fails to load data from the source table into the target table.
