Limitation In String To Flist Conversion Function 'pin_str_to_flist' (Doc ID 1635687.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 20, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version to [Release 7.4.0 to 7.5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In Billing and Revenue Management(BRM) database, the fields representing  PIN_FLDT_STR type are defined as VARCHAR2 which has max size of 4000. Some fields like ItemPoidList are already defined as size 4000.  But pcm internal functions like pin_str_to_flist() check for the pcm.h #define value of PCM_MAXIMUM_STR which is defined as 2000 and this aborts the conversions with error "bad scan of STR(..) too long .." resulting in various errors in various components.

Is this a known limitation?
