Multiple ISS Stores Are Not Supported In Convergence (Doc ID 1639649.1)

Last updated on APRIL 27, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Indexing and Search Service - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In a large scale deployment with multiple ISS stores, Convergence can only specify one IP address and port to direct RESTful searches for the attachment store.

The Convergence client has no information about which user belongs to which ISS server.  This means that ISS does not have a mechanism for Convergence to route the RESTful request to the correct ISS instance.  Because of this, when a user clicks on the "Attachments" folder, Convergence is not always able to access the RESTful interface on the correct back-end ISS store.
