Goal

When creating a custom menu in EIP v1.6 with <division> elements that create a sub-menu, the sub-menu is expanded instead of contracted. By comparison, the functionality in v4.53 has contracted sub-menus. For example, when logging into the EIP, the sub-menus under the Tools and Utilities menu include Configure Adapter Rules, Adapter Components, Adapter Runtime, Options, Address Book, and Configuration. All of these sub-menus are contracted upon login. By contrast, any custom sub-menus seem to be expanded by default.
