RMS Subscribe Of Supplier Allows Supplier Site Status To Not Match Supplier Parent (Doc ID 1642026.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 05, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 13.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The on-line Retail Merchandising System (RMS) application will make sure that the status of all Supplier Sites matches the Supplier Parent, meaning you cannot get in the situation where a Supplier Site is 'A'ctive and the parent is 'I'nactive. However, when using RMSSUB_SUPPLIER.CONSUME to bring suppliers in from an external system and Supplier Sites are enabled (SYSTEM_OPTIONS.SUPPLIER_SITES_IND = 'Y'), user can end up with a scenario where the Parent Status is changed to 'I'nactive and the sites are not updated, or a scenario where the parent is 'I'nactive and a site is updated to 'A'ctive.

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Set SYSTEM_OPTIONS.SUPPLIER_SITES_IND = 'Y', SYSTEM_OTIONS.FINANCIAL_IND = 'Y', SYSTEM_OPTIONS.FINANCIAL_AP = 'O'
  2. Load a Supplier Parent with multiple sites via the RIB...with all status = 'A'ctive
  3. Send update to Parent to change status to 'I'nactive
  4. Notice now there is an inactive supplier parent with active children. RMS should not allow this.
