Oracle Commerce Encodes Spaces in Canonical URLs to "+" After Migration To 9.2 (Doc ID 1642239.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 03, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle Commerce Platform - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After a migration from earlier Oracle ATG Web Commerce releases to 9.2 or above, you may see that the Canonical URL encodes a space to "+". In earlier releases, the space would be encoded to use the character specified in the spaceMapping property set on the /atg/repository/seo/CanonicalItemLink component.

For example, the URL:

(assuming that spaceMapping property set on the /atg/repository/seo/CanonicalItemLink component is set to "-").

Is it possible to change the "+" to "-" via any configuration?
