TRAN_OUT_BAL Error After Loading RTLOG With Total Retail Value Less Than the Tender Amount, but the Difference Is Defined in ROUNDED_OFF_AMT Field in THEAD (Doc ID 1642599.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 17, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Sales Audit - Version 13.2.4 to 13.2.7 [Release 13.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) 13.2.x, we experience a TRAN_OUT_BAL error after loading RTLOG with total retail value less than the tender amount.  However, the difference is defined in the ROUNDED_OFF_AMT field in THEAD.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Prepare RTLOG with total retail value less than the tender amount for a transaction.  Make sure that the difference is defined in the ROUNDED_OFF_AMT field in THEAD.
  2. Run Retail Sales Audit (ReSA) batches on RTLOG above.
  3. Check the transaction in Transaction Maintenance screen.  Note that it is unbalanced with the difference between total retail and the tender amount, although the ROUNDED_OFF_AMT field holds this value in the RTLOG.
