Router Server Database Failover Causes The PreProcess Pipeline To Fail (Doc ID 1643504.1)

Last updated on APRIL 03, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 7.5.0.0.0 version, Pipeline Manager

There is a dedicated server called Router Server. This has 2 pipeline frameworks, one for pre-processing and the other only for routing.

Duplicate check is implemented in pre-processing which connects to a separate DB containing only duplicate key tables. There are no data modules configured in the pre-processing registry. While testing RAC fail-over for the duplicate key Database when RAC Node1 fails, Node2 becomes active. Pre-processing is unable to connect to Node2.
TAF configuration is available, the tnsping and sqlplus are working, getting connected to RAC2/Node2 if RAC1/Node1 fails. Pre-processing pipeline is unable to continue the current transaction and rolled back during RAC1/Node1 failure.
