Business requirement requires custom tax calculation for batch rated usage events and real-time rated events and batch rated events to be rerated in the event the subscriber changes rate plan in the middle of the bill cycle.
A custom iScript was included in the batch rating pipeline to perform this custom tax calculation and in the real-time rerating pipeline it is set up to rerate batch rated events as per comprehensive rerating.
This rerating configuration is tested by creating a rerate job and running the pin_rerate utility as per comprehensive rerating steps.
Batch rated events were successfully sent to real-time rerating pipeline for rerating. Rerating pipeline successfully processed the EDRs
It is noticed that the tax packets have been added as desired to the EDR by the custom iScript by reviewing EDR dump. Snippet from EDR dump showing tax packet information:
RECORD_TYPE: <> :CLEARED
RECORD_NUMBER: <0> :CLEARED
TAX_CODE: <USAGE> :SET
TAX_RATE: <13.00> :SET
TAX_VALUE: <0.18> :SET

RELATED_CHARGE_INFO_ID: <1> :SET
CHARGE_INFORMATION_COUNTER: <0> :CLEARED
TAX_INDICATOR: <> :CLEARED
ITEM_TAG: <> :CLEARED
ITEM_POID: <> :CLEARED
However the output flist as seen in the OUT_RealTime does not contain this information (balance impacts and corresponding tax jurisdiction details).
How are taxes supposed to be recalculated during rerating for batch rated events? How to get taxes to be recalculated by the custom iScript in the real-time rerating pipeline?
