OCUCS Outlook Connector Creates Calendar Server Entries In Wrong Timezone (Doc ID 1667457.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Connector for Microsoft Outlook - Version 8.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Outlook Connector 8.0.0 and 8.0.1 from Oracle Communications Unified Communications Suite (OCUCS) 7u5

OCUCS Outlook Connector creates Calendar Server entries in the wrong timezone.

When Calendar events are created from Outlook clients that are configured in the timezones of Europe/Moscow, (UTC+4 without daylight savings changes), Asia/Yerevan, PortLouis and a number of other locations in the UTC+4 range, the calendar entries are posted to the Calendar Server as "Asia/Baku" (also GMT+4, but with the summer/winter time), which in turn causes the calendar entries to be displayed off by an hour.  This is only seen after the calendar window is refreshed, for example, by clicking into the Email tab and back into Calendar.  Before the refresh, the entries have the proper assigned hours and even receive the reminder pop-ups at the right time.  But, after the refresh, they are instantly overdue.
