Can Oracle Retail Point of Service (ORPOS) support a tax bracket system like the Florida tax structure, in which sales tax and discretionary sales surtax are calculated on each taxable transaction?

Florida uses a bracket system for calculating sales tax when the transaction falls between two whole dollar amounts.  Multiply the whole dollar amount by the tax rate (6 percent plus the county surtax rate), and use the bracket system to figure the tax on the amount less than one dollar.   For example, for a transaction subtotal of $38.00, in a county where there was no surtax, the tax charged would be [6% * $38.00] ($2.28 tax).   However, if a transaction subtotal was $38.45 and the store location is in a county where there IS surtax, then the tax charged would be [6% * $38.00] ($2.28 tax) + the amount from the table for $0.45 (which is the amount over the whole dollar amount).
