Goal
Idle connections are not being closed / released after we replaced a load balancer.
We are in a process of replacing a load balancer within our infrastructure. When moving the mail exchanger, we see the connections to the LDAP server and Brightmail anti-spam stays up. They are never closed when leaving the old load balancer and a new connection is created when the network comes back up on the new load balancer.
These old connections are only released when we shut down the application. They don't timeout and it doesn't look like the OS, Solaris 10, sees them as a timeout.
