Siebel/iConnect Case Linking/Unlinking Fails when IMWS not Configured Correctly in Search (Doc ID 1671249.1)

Symptoms

Within a new deployment of Siebel/iConnect, case linking is failing. The Search, IMWS and iConnect instances were all deployed within separate WLS Managed Servers located on the same server. Within the Search Runtime wrapper log the following exception is present:
