Invalid Username/Password Error after Database move (Doc ID 1671944.1)

Goal

Customer had moved their db tier from UNIX to Linux. They also reconfigured the data source to point to the new DB server. After that they had re-deployed the war file.
Now they cannot login to the application. They get Invalid/Username password with any user that they try to login with
