Entering Options for and ID without Slicing Columns

Goal

This document contains directions on how to create a processing run option entry that does not use Units Of Work (data slicing).

To turn off units of work, make sure that a job does not specify any data slicing columns. The whole point of the process specified below is to verify that for a given ID, there are no slicing columns specified.

This document contains two sections
  1.  The process for entering options for an ID without slicing columns specified (therefore not having Units of Work).
  2.  A simple method for verifying that a specific ID does not have slicing columns.

NOTE: This document does not cover basic concepts regarding setting run options and multiprocessing. For an in depth explanation of the different options that can be set in the run options tables, the layout of the run options tables, and how the run options tables affect processing: please refer to Section 19 'OFSA Multiprocessing' in the Oracle Financial Services Installation and Configuration Guide, Release 4.5, Part No. A80992-01.
