JAXWSWebServiceConnector Does Not Retry the Connection, and Error "Failed to Successfully Invoke Web Service Operation" Occurs (Doc ID 1680250.1)

In a Commerce Anywhere environment, the Oracle Retail Point of Service (ORPOS) server is unable to retry connections to the WebService via the 'CrossChannelConnectorTechnician' when the retry configuration is set to occur more than once . The 'WebServiceConnector' is unable to call the WebService and the following error occurs:

Steps to Reproduce:

       ORPOS Commerce Anywhere WebService is configured to timeout after 5 seconds.
       ORPOS Commerce Anywhere WebService is configured to retry 2 times in case of failure.
       Set up Order Management System (OMS) system to hold the response for WebService call for one minute.

  1. Start a new sale transaction.
  2. Enter an item in the transaction.
  3. Select Item and go to Item- > Shipping options.
  4. In the flow, when the WebService calls RequestNewOrderId operation, ORPOS displays an error dialog after 5 seconds.
