Anything is Accepted in the "Reference" Field for Recharges of "Custom" Type (Doc ID 1681374.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.4.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Oracle Communications, Network Charging and Control, Charging Control Services (CCS) Provisioning Interface (PI) Commands.

In the CCS PI Commands Operations guide, the "Reference" field of a CCSCD3=RCH CCS PI command is described as :

"For custom recharges this will be a string matching a reload bonus entry."

This is incorrect, it is possible to put anything in the reference field of a custom recharge, this value will just be carried over in the EDR into the "reference" EDR field, irrespective of it matching a reload bonus entry or not.

e.g. the following PI command :

will be accepted, irrespective of the existence of a reload bonus entry named test123456789.
