Symptoms
An "Equipment Port is currently in use by" error is thrown when attempting to assign the equipment port. A user was assigning an equipment port to a facility circuit when his client locked up and needed to be killed using the Windows Task Manager. The user reopened the application and navigated back to the Connection Design and observed the equipment port assignment had not been associated to the DLR or in the reconcile assignments. The user opened the Equipment Inventory for Connection Design window and attempted to make the equipment port assignment and the following error was thrown:
