ASAP Cannot Connect to Web Service Through HTTPS (Doc ID 1684974.1)

Symptoms

When I am connecting web service secure interface (HTTPS) from a cartridge in ASAP, I receive the following error in the JNEP diagnostic file:


In the ASAP.console, I see the following error:

Caused by: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
