Oracle Financial Services Applications (OFSA) 4.5

Symptoms

In an Oracle Financial Services Applications (OFSA) 4.5 environment, dead or defunct processes are slowing database and system performance.  These defunct processes are not being cleaned up.

This can result in Allocation, Transfer Pricing (TP), and Risk Manager (RM) processes gradually getting slower.  For example, Allocations that used to take 15-30 minutes are now taking hours.  The request queue (rq) may crash every few days.  The entire OFSA environment is slow.
