Information in this document applies to any platform.

A new opcode PCM_OP_BAL_GET_ECE_BALANCES has been introduced to query real-time balances from the Elastic Charging Engine (ECE). The call to this opcode from any CM client or custom policy opcode will be redirected to ECE via the EM Gateway configuration under CM's pin.conf:

- cm em_group ece_bal PCM_OP_BAL_GET_ECE_BALANCES
- cm em_pointer ece_bal ip <ECE IP ADDRESS> <EmGateway portno>

In order to use this new opcode in ECE (supported from ECE 11.2 PatchSet-3 onwards) as a pre-requisite on Billing & Revenue Management (BRM) side, the Interim <Patch 18870571> must be installed on top of BRM 7.5 Patch Set 8 or any higher BRM 7.5 PatchSets.

This article provides more details about the opcode and the input/output flist examples.
