Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Memory Based Planner in SIT:

Users do run some type of legacy load of data. They use informatica to load the staging tables and then run planning ODS load to load to MSC tables. This is new instance and running ASCP plans for first time. Users are on 12.1.3 and have applied VCP 12.1.3.9.1 Patch 17350769 - no one offs for snapshot nor mbp - using 32 bit msonew and 32 big snapshot mscnsp. Running EDD Constrained plan. When attempting to run ASCP plan, it fails with the following in MSONEW - Memory-based Planner and it takes less than a second to fail

The value of profile option 'MSO_RESPECT_SUPPLY_TOLERANCES' is N
..Selecting item 528 0:00
..Selecting Transportation Resources 3 0:00
item_id=344593 org_id=377 sid=2024
APP-MRP-22064: An internal error has occurred (mrlisf_load_item_sourcing_file, 227)

Cause: The current routine encountered the specified internal error.

Action: Contact your customer support representative.

Total memory usage: 2584
Freeing calendar memory

If they remove the assignment set from the ASCP plan options it fails with slightly different error and it does not matter if they use 32 bit MSONEW or 64 bit Sun MSONWS64:

MSONWS64 module: Memory Based Planner 64-bit Sun

ALTER SEQUENCE MSC.msc_shipments_s increment by 500
ALTER SEQUENCE MSC.msc_shipments_s increment by 1
The value of profile option 'MSO_RESPECT_SUPPLY_TOLERANCES' is N
..Selecting item 528 0:00
..Selecting Transportation Resources 3 0:00
Profile MSC_USE_LARGE_SEQ not set
APP-MRP-22064: An internal error has occurred (mrlbmf_load_bom_file, 234)

Cause: The current routine encountered the specified internal error.

Action: Contact your customer support representative.

Total memory usage: 2879
Freeing calendar memory

I asked if they manipulate the data with custom hooks after collecting and they state they do not. Relink of MSONEW when they were using it was successful but didn't help
