Opening FMAT or SSMN Feature Nodes Throws Error "Stored parameters are invalid no matching entry in Type field for - test" (Doc ID 1906964.1)

Last updated on JUNE 10, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.4.0 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)

Symptoms

In all versions of Oracle Network Charging and Control (NCC), a problem exists with the Send Short Message Notification (SSMN) and Format Text (FMAT) nodes when re-opening an instance of either Feature Node (FN) after it has been configured.

This issue occurs when the selected Application within a Notification Template is not alphabetically first in the drop down list of available options.  For example, selecting an Application of CCS when ACS is also an option would cause this problem.

The error presents itself as a pop-up such as:

The text "test" in this example will be replaced with the Notification Template Application selected when configuring the node.

This issue is only a pop-up when re-opening a configured node.  It does not affect the ability to save the node/Control Plan or it's compilation.  It also does not impact the execution of the Control Plan by slee_acs.

Changes

The addition of a SSMN or FMAT node to a control plan with said SSMN or FMAT node configured to use a Notification Template Application which is not alphabetically first in the list.
