Return Quantity Updated Even When a Transaction Fails To Be Saved to the Database (Doc ID 1907513.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 10, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Point-of-Service - Version 13.0 to 13.0.7 [Release 13.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In Oracle Retail Point of Service (ORPOS) 13.0.x, consider a situation in which the user performs a return transaction, but due to an ORA error, the transaction is not saved in the database.  Although one of the SQL statements has failed, we note that the return quantity has been updated by 1 in the original invoice.  The expected behavior is that if any of the SQL statement fails, the POS server should roll back the entire transaction.
