MetaSolv Solution Drop-down Listbox Problem Running in Dual/Multiple Monitor Environment (Doc ID 1912741.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 05, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution - Version 6.2.1 to 6.3.0 [Release 6.2.0 to 6.3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Many of the application's data window drop-down menu items (listbox) are NOT displayed directly below the field when running the MetaSolv Solution client in a dual/multiple monitor environment.  The behavior occurs when the primary monitor is configured on the left and the application is running/displayed on the secondary monitor (right).  In this configuration the listbox values are actually displayed on the primary monitor even though the application is running on the secondary monitor.

NOTE 1: The behavior does NOT occur when the primary monitor is configured on the left and the application is running/displayed on the primary monitor.

NOTE 2: The behavior does NOT occur when the primary monitor is configured on the right regardless of which monitor the application is running/displayed.

NOTE 3: The behavior only affects listboxes in PowerBuilder data windows. It does NOT affect listboxes of embedded browser windows like ASR, LSR, PSR Ordering Dialog, etc which use Internet Explorer technology.
