When Item's Return UOM Is Not 'EA' But UOM Class Is Still 'QTY', RMS Accepts Decimal Values (Doc ID 1915963.1)

Last updated on APRIL 06, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 13.2.5 to 13.2.9 [Release 13.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When performing a Return to Vendor (RTV) for an item where the UOM_CLASS = QTY and UOM <> ‘EA’; the application is allowing input of a decimal value.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Choose an item with item_master.standard_uom that is 'EA'.
  2. Create an RTV, input that item, and input the RTV qty as 1.1 or 2.2 (i.e., not an integer).   The system will report an error that the "Qty must be integer" (which is correct).
  3. Choose an item with item_master.standard_uom that is NOT 'EA', but it is present in the same UOM Class as "EA" where UOM_CLASS = QTY.
  4. Create an RTV, input that item, and input the RTV qty as 1.1 or 2.2 (i.e., not an integer).   The system will not report an error.
