Sales Order (Qty 1) Consumes 2 Forecast Entries (both Qty 1). (Doc ID 1916913.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 08, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Demand Planning - Version 12.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Customer current ASCP and ODP Configutation.

We are trying, (using 2 ODP Scenarios to manage:
A) The previous 2 months (where we have Shipped Sales Orders) AND
B) The current Month + 12 Month Horizon based on Booking History.

What we see is the following :-
It is clear from the test data that a Single Sale Order
1610010007 SSD 28-FEB (Qty 1) is capable of consuming 2 Forecast entries :-
A) Forecast (qty 1) on 28-FEB for ODP Scenario 'DGN Prior Fcast'
B) Forecast (Qty 1) on 02-APR for Scenario 'DGN 709 Fcast'
within the same Plan.
Therefore the single SO (Qty 1) has consumed Forecast x2 (Qty 2).
Normally we would not expect this to be possible.

Please advise

Question 2: Are there are any mitigating setup or
config steps which other customers use which would
help us to achieved a balanced solution between ODP
            and ASCP ?
