How to Avoid Logging of Email Headers Being Interwoven (Or Mixed Up ) in the mail.log File (Doc ID 1918451.1)

Last updated on JUNE 21, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 7.0.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The MTA log file is used to log all incoming and outgoing emails, including their headers.

Under heavy load, when a lot of messages are flowing through the system, the log entries for the individual emails get mixed up. That is, the lines itself keep their integrity but they get interwoven with each other.

Eg. the following is seen in the mail.log  :

In the above example, you can see that the From address is repeated, the message-id is repeated and so on. It has been verified these lines are from different emails.

Is there a way to make sure that this does not happen?
