Date Picker Copies Wrong Date Format (Doc ID 1919312.1)

Last updated on JUNE 21, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management - Version 6.1.0 to 6.1.2.2 [Release 6.1.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On Oracle Agile EDM 6.1.1 and 6.1.2.0 with the Java Client
Find that using the date picker to fill a date field that has a visible and virtual width of 10 is creating a value with a wrong format thus creating an error message on save: 'value must be in mask dateformat "Y/M/D H:M:S" !'
Issue happens only if the date format starts with the year.

Expected Behavior
---------------------
The date picker should fill the mask field with a correct value dependent on the adjusted date format.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Set default DATEFORMAT_ENG to the value 'Y/M/D H:M:S'
2. Update field T_PPL_DAT.VAL_FROM in mask EDB-PPL-SBF-CHK and set virtual width to 10 and access to 'w'
3. Restart the application
4. From TOP menu select Start | Process Planing | Process Plan
5. Insert a record into that process plan mask
6. Try to insert a date into the field 'Valid From' with the date picker (drop down arrow to open the date picker is automatically displayed if cursor is put into the field)
=> Date is inserted into the field like 20120131 instead of 2012/01/31
On saving the record the mentioned error message comes up: 'value must be in mask dateformat "Y/M/D H:M:S" !'
