RMS Partitioned Index DDL Does Not Create Local Indexes (Doc ID 1920876.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 06, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 13.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

RMS Partitioned Index data definition language (DDL) is not creating local indexes .

In the installation kit for RMS, there is a mismatch between the recommendations for index partitioning and how to implement them. The kit includes a spreadsheet (CDROM\rms13dbschema\rms\dbschema\dbscripts_rms\ddl\part\ RMS_partition_definition.xls) that makes recommendations for which indexes should be global and which should be local. However, the initial DDL (CDROM\rms13dbschema\rms\dbschema\dbscripts_rms\ddl\rms.ind) does not contain any local indexes.

This DDL should be changed so that the following indexes are created local:

• DAILY_DATA: PK_DAILY_DATA, DAILY_DATA_I1
• DAILY_ITEM_FORECAST: PK_DAILY_ITEM_FORECAST
• DAILY_SALES_DISCOUNT: PK_DAILY_SALES_DISCOUNT
• DEAL_ITEM_LOC_EXPLODE: PK_ DEAL_ITEM_LOC_EXPLODE, DEAL_ITEM_LOC_EXPLODE_I1
• HALF_DATA: PK_ HALF_DATA, HALF_DATA_I1, HALF_DATA_I2
• ITEM_FORECAST: PK_ ITEM_FORECAST
• ITEM_LOC: PK_ITEM_LOC
• ITEM_LOC_HIST: PK_ ITEM_LOC_HIST
• ITEM_LOC_HIST_MTH: ITEM_LOC_HIST_MTH_I1
• ITEM_LOC_SOH: PK_ ITEM_LOC_SOH
• ITEM_SUPP_COUNTRY_LOC: PK_ ITEM_SUPP_COUNTRY_LOC
• ITEM_ZONE_PRICE: PK_ ITEM_ZONE_PRICE, ITEM_ZONE_PRICE_I1
• MONTH_DATA: PK_ MONTH_DATA, MONTH_DATA_I1
• PRICE_HIST: PRICE_HIST_I1
• REPL_RESULTS: REPL_RESULTS_I1, REPL_RESULTS_I2, REPL_RESULTS_I3, REPL_RESULTS_I4
• TRAN_DATA_HISTORY: TRAN_DATA_HISTORY_I1, TRAN_DATA_HISTORY_I2
