How to Configure Fixed Ports in TL1 Cartridge (Doc ID 1921475.1)

Last updated on APRIL 01, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Integrity - Version 7.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When a request is made between Network Integrity and a remote device, there are typically four parameters required to make a connection in order to submit that request - the remote device's IP address, the remote device's port, the local server IP address, and a local server port.

Currently, the local port used is chosen by a mechanism within the iReasoning library.  Network Integrity passes along a blank value and requests that the library determine a port number.

At times, due to firewall configuration rules the local port must be fixed and known before exection time.  Is there a mechanism in place to specify a value?
