Recovering from a Database Upgrade Failure (Doc ID 1923449.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 20, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Order and Service Management - Version 7.2.2 to 7.2.4 [Release 7.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

If an error occurs while the installer is upgrading the database schema, you can fix the error and rerun the installer. The installer then resumes the upgrade from the point of failure, which means you do not have to roll back the entire upgrade and start from the beginning.

This document provides a procedure for addressing the error and resuming the upgrade.

This procedure is only applicable during the installation process. It is only applicable when upgrading to OSM or higher. If upgrading to OSM 7.3.0 or higher , see the section "Handling an OSM Database Schema Installation Failure" in the Installation Guide
