Recovering from a Database Upgrade Failure

Purpose
If an error occurs while the installer is upgrading the database schema, you can fix the error and rerun the installer. The installer then resumes the upgrade from the point of failure, which means you do not have to roll back the entire upgrade and start from the beginning.
This document provides a procedure for addressing the error and resuming the upgrade.
Scope
This procedure is only applicable during the installation process. It is only applicable when upgrading to OSM 7.2.2.5.0 or higher. If upgrading to OSM 7.3.0 or higher , see the section "Handling an OSM Database Schema Installation Failure" in the Installation Guide
