Creation Of New Event Prevented With "Timeout while waiting to Lock" In Resource Message
(Doc ID 1924045.1)
Last updated on MAY 06, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Calendar Server - Version 7.0 (JCS 7) and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Two users are triggering the following error in the calendar error.0 log:
'DavServer.lockResource' ... 'Timeout while waiting to lock /wcap/<calendar-name>'
The users see a (-1) xcap / wcap operation error reported in Outlook Connector or Convergence 2 clients, respectively, while e.g. trying to create a fresh test event.
This happened when the Calendar system was struck by a mayor I/O disruption (e.g. once disk subsystem become corrupted), in consequence, the clustered mysql backends were switched and failed to stay up again. The davserver frontends stayed up (non clustered) and were not yet restarted.
