Last updated on AUGUST 25, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Price Management - Version 13.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The article described in this document is known to Oracle, and a fix already scheduled for future release. This article will be updated as official patch information becomes available.

The RPM batch program priceEventPayloadPopulationBatch.sh returns a failure code, 1, when there is no data to process. This is a false failure. When there is no data to process the program should exit with a return code of success: 0. Exiting with a return code of 1 causes the nightly batch processing to stop requiring manual intervention when none is required.

Steps to Recreate :

1. Make sure there are no Regular, Clearance or Promotional price changes for the program to load into the payload tables
2. Run the batch program priceEventPayloadPopulationBatch.sh and capture the exit code.
3. Notice that the exit code is 1 even when the program completed successfully. The message in the log file is: "No Threads to process... Exiting."
