Cannot Edit Records in a DeFi Form in the Data Entry Screen (Doc ID 1925169.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 16, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure - Version 7.3.3.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)

Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) Infrastructure, after upgrading to version 7.3.3, you can no longer edit or delete values in existing Data Entry Forms.  When you edit the row and save, it displays a message saying the save is successful:

However, when you check the table updated by the Form, the value is not updated in the database.

You can create a new row using the form.  After creating a new row, you can also edit values in the new row.  You just cannot edit rows that existed before installing the patch.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Go to Unified Metadata Manager
  2. Go to Data Entry Forms and Queries > Data Entry
  3. Open a Form and select "Edit"
  4. Edit a value in the Form and click Save

A message appears stating the Save was successful but the value is not updated in the table.
