Goal

The transaction post processor fails with the below error when attempting to handle an item with no department assigned in AS_ITM.  Why?

2014-09-11 11:21:28,212 ERROR [oracle.retail.stores.commerceservices.postprocessor.flashsalesdepartment.ejb.FlashSalesDepartmentBucketBean_fm0b19_Impl] java.sql.SQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException: ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("BO_BASE"."LE_SMY_DPT_SLS"."ID_DPT_POS")

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Upload items to Back Office (BO) using Data Import, including items with no department assigned.
  2. Check AS_ITM.ID_DPT_POS for those items to find the values NULL.
  3. Perform a sale transaction of these items.
  4. Run post processor in Back Office until it succeeds.
  5. Check AS_ITM.SC_PST_PRCS to find the value 3 (Failed).  Also check BO logs to find the error above.
