Project ASCP Plan Sales Order Demand Pegged to New Planned Order Instead of Existing Firm Supplies (Doc ID 1928163.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : version, Memory Based Planner

Supplies are not being pegged as per Demand Priority setup in ASCP

In ASCP plan options users have Peg Supplies by Demand Priority checked, and also the related profile options set as follows:
1. MSO: Firm Supply Allocation Window (Backward Days) -365
2. MSO: Firm Supply Allocation Window (Forward Days) - 365
3. MSC: Selection Order for Firm Supplies in backward allocation window - Earliest Supply

In spite of the required setup , on Plan Run users see that for the same item it is creating a new Planned Order and not getting pegged to the firm existing planned order/wip job supply already present. Ideally it should have been pegged to the earliest supply (Existing Firm Planned Order).  How is this resolved?
