Goal

In Oracle Retail Allocation, why is our calculated need greater than zero (0) when there is no sales history on which to base the calculation?


Sample Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create an allocation for an item (itemA) to store (store S1) based on a history rule.
  2. Make sure that no history exists (no sales) from the date range provided.
  3. Do not specify any Quantity Limits (QL).
  4. Calculate the allocation.  Note that the calculated need is greater than zero.
