Workbench Hangs Under Heavy Load or Usage With an Error Reported in the IFCR Log "INFO- Maximum number of threads (200) created for connector" (Doc ID 1937200.1)

Symptoms

The Oracle Commerce Guided Search / Oracle Endeca Workbench hangs after 200 connections are reached, preventing business users from using the Workbench.

An error is logged within the $ENDECA_TOOLS_CONF/logs/ifcr.log:

If the Endeca Tools Service is restarted, the issue resolves temporarily.

In a short time under normal operation load, the message reappears, and the Endeca Workbench hangs again.

Changes

 No significant changes have been made to the environment. The application and total number of Workbench Clients have grown organically to fit the business needs.
