Why Does 'Min Net Need' and 'Available Quantity' Validation Not Reference the 'Include Inventory Min' Indicator? (Doc ID 1937431.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 21, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Allocation - Version 13.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When attempting to calculate an allocation using a 'Min Net Need' quantity limit, a validation occurs that compares the sum of the Min Net Need qty limit values for all stores attached to an item source to the total available quantity of the item source.  When the sum of the Min Net Need qty limits exceeds the available qty, the user receives a front end alert stating this error. However, when using the 'Incl Inv Min' checkbox, the comparison is not taking into account the onhands of the item source, by store.  The calculation does not include these values in the validation.

It is possible to use the 'Min Gross Need' qty limit instead, and specify Net Need in the rules?
